Following an extremely rainy winter and spring, water reserves were thoroughly replenished, meaning that the vines did not suffer from water stress during the summer, something that is quite rare in the Languedoc region!
The growth cycle of the vines went well, until August, where a good alternation between diurnal and nocturnal temperatures allowed for good ripening of the varieties which are sensitive to significant temperature variations, such as Syrah, Sauvignon blanc and Pinot Noir.
Excellent weather conditions during September meant that we could wait until the most advantageous time to harvest in order to achieve optimal levels of maturity.
Generally speaking, the first tastings are predicting a beautiful vintage!
