Jancis Robinson, famous wine critic, published a selection of Languedoc rosé wines with two cuvées Les Jamelles:
Mourvèdre rosé Cépage rare 2017: 17/20
Tasted blind.
Distinctly golden tinge through the pale pink. Smells like a white wine! Pears and quince and saffron-spiced fat-bottomed curvaceous fruit with lots of spice. Wild-strawberry scented, a hint of earthiness, and long, determined finish. A wine that reminds me a bit of Blanc de Noir champagnes.
Clair de Gris 2017: 16/20
Tasted blind
Very very pale onion skin. Doesn’t smell of much. Slightly dusty. On the mineral/savoury side, with an arching acidity, dry, an impression of orange peel and pith, dusting of fennel. Finesse, although it does finish just a little short.
