We acquired the Trésor vineyards, located in Ouveillan in the Narbonne plain in 2015. Since then, we have started a vast restructuring plan for this vineyard: we have planted 8 ha of vines in 2020 (Sauvignon and Cinsault grapes) and 7 ha in 2021 (Chardonnay grapes).
And no less than 12 ha of vines were planted last week! This very large area required considerable technical and human resources: in total, nearly 50,000 plants were planted, at a rate of 4,444 vines per hectare! The Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Grenache Gris grape varieties were selected because they can express their full potential on this terroir.
We will keep you informed of the evolution of these plantations over the coming months. First harvest expected… in 3 years!
Congratulations to all the Les Jamelles team for having successfully met the challenge!
